Saint Joseph, the husband of Holy Mary and foster father of Jesus, lived in the first century A.D at Nazareth, in the modern Israel. From the Bible (the New Testament) we come to know that he was a God-fearing, just and hardworking man; he was a carpenter by profession. He was obedient to God’s plan and was always ready to listen to the promptings and guidance of the Spirit of God. He is regarded as the Patron Saint of workers.
